Nexus 5 made its way to T-Mobile less than two months ago and customers could get it until recently for $42 (€30) upfront with 24 monthly payments of $17 (€12.5).

In the end, Nexus 5 was worth exactly $450 (€330), which is $100 (€75) more expensive than the smartphone’s price on Google Play Store.

However, due to the fact that Nexus 5 stock on Google Play store was extremely low, many Android fans and enthusiasts turned to carriers to purchase one.

Then there was the problem of price, as many customers could not afford to pay the outright price charged by Google for the Nexus 5, which is why a cheap smartphone on long-term contract was one of the few viable solutions.

Well, it looks like T-Mobile has just dropped the price the Nexus 5 close to the amount Google has priced it on its Play Store.

As TmoNews points out, potential customers can now pick the Nexus 5 up for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $16.50 (€12), that’s a total of $395 (€290).

The removal of the upfront cost and the slight discount of the monthly payments brought the T-Mobile Nexus 5 even closer to the phone’s price on Google Play Store.

Those who have yet to grab one may want to take into consideration T-Mobile’s offer on the Nexus 5. The Magenta carrier did not mention whether or not this is limited time offer, but there’s always the issue of low stock.

T-Mobile Nexus 5 will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, but users will be able to upgrade it to 4.4.2 as soon as they purchase the smartphone.

Keep in mind that T-Mobile only offers the 16GB Nexus 5. For more details on the smartphone’s features and capabilities, check out our database for Nexus 5 full specs.
