Canadian carrier WIND Mobile has just opened the pre-registration for LG Nexus 5 and posted important information regarding the smartphone’s specs sheet.

Although Google has yet to announce the Nexus 5, we’ve seen the device up for sale at various European retailers, which suggests that an official announcement is just around the corner.

Today, MobileSyrup reports that WIND Mobile’s pre-registration page for Nexus 5 reveals important details on the smartphone’s hardware and software configuration.

It appears that the Nexus 5 will go on sale with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box and a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3.

In addition, the device has been confirmed to pack 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, Nexus 5 will not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The phone’s 4.95-inch capacitive touchscreen display supports full HD (1080p) resolution, 445ppi (pixel density) and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, Nexus 5 boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as OIS (optical image stabilization).

There’s also a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. The phone is said to measure 69.17 x 137.84 x 8.59 mm and weighs only 130g (battery included).

Other highlights of the Nexus 5 include: Wi-Fi (2.4G / 5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP support and 3.5mm audio jack. On a side note, the smartphone also features dual microphones and ceramic power and volume buttons.

WIND Mobile has since removed the Nexus 5 pre-registration page from Facebook, but the cited source has managed to grab a screenshot that contains all the information on the Nexus 5.

According to the latest hearsay, Google is expected to unveil the LG Nexus 5 in the next couple of days, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
