Not so long ago, I brought you news that the iFive mini3 received the Android KitKat update. But now FNF has announced it is working on a second generation iFive which is expected to come sporting a Retina Display-like screen.

According to TabletManiak, the next gen iFive mini3 will draw power from a 4-core Rockchip RK3188 processor clocked at 1.6GHz coupled with a 4-core Mali400MP4 graphics chip, all backed up by 2GB of RAM.

As I mentioned, the 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution (mounted on a 7.9-inch screen) will probably be tablet’s biggest highlight, which will surely draw customers in. The slate will also appeal to those looking for a slim design, with its 7.4 mm / 0.29 inch thickness.

Last but not least, the slate is expected to come packing two cameras (5MP on the back and 3MP in front) and a microSD card for when you run out of space. The slate will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
