Somewhere around Christmas

We finally have a tangible hint on the release date for the fashionable LG Prada II, which first made headlines at the beginning of this spring, though until now everything about it was unsure. Fortunately it seems that now all the mystery has been unraveled since at the LG annual dealer show, our colleagues from Mobile Phone Helpdesk, got some answers.

LG Sales Director Robbert de Graaf couldn't offer any official news, but what he did was give hints about Prada II. When asked about the release date his answer was 'A good turkey is eaten with Christmas. When white fog rises from the skies of Milan the device will be announced there,' so we can say with about 60% accuracy that the device will be launched sometime before Christmas. Fashionistas will be thrilled to get one as a present for sure.

According to Mobile Phone Helpdesk, Mr de Graaf held the LG Prada II in his hands, so it will only be a matter of time before it hits the stores. A good thing is that users will still have time to save some cash before Prada II enters the scene. Even if no info about its price has been disclosed, there's no way that the device could cost less than its predecessor, meaning around 1,000 USD.

The unofficial specs for the phone have been leaked by the guys from Boy Genius Report, so here they are: 3'' touchscreen with 400x240 resolution, 5 megapixel camera and a secondary 0.3 megapixel one for video-calls. Multimedia functionality includes MP3/WAV/WMV player, FM radio and TV-out. Among other features we have HSPDA 7.2 Mbps connectivity and HTML browser for Internet browsing, as well as for fast data transfers. Its internal memory is unknown, but at least it is suspected it will have a microSD card slot that will support up to 8GB of storage space.
