Firefighters in the city of Jinhua in China were recently called in to rescue a baby boy who was stuck inside a sewage pipe in a residential building.

They suspect that the baby ended up inside the sewage pipe after somebody had flushed him down the toilet, wishing to get rid of him in this gruesome manner.

The Blaze reports that, all things considered, whoever attempted murdering this baby boy did so because of China's one-child policy.

Since there was no other way of gaining access to the infant, the firefighters who arrived at the scene had to use several tools to detach the portion of the pipe inside which the baby was stuck.

They later cut this pipe fragment open and managed to pull the baby out of it. The rescue operation lasted for about one hour.

For the time being, the baby boy appears to be stable. Local authorities are now trying to track down his parents and make head and tail of this incident.
