NewGen T3 looks like a PDA, but it's not

The NewGen T3 looks like a PDA, but it is actually just a phone acting like a PDA.

Newgen has decided to continue with their legacy of making standard handsets with only touchscreens as the input medium. Earlier Newgen had come out with the T1 which also featured only a keypad, the latest is the T3 which does the same thing. Other then that, the Newgen T3 also has a 2.2 inch TFT LCD which has 262,000 colors.

Thanks to the absence of any keypad, the size of the display seems larger then standard. At the back of the handset, one may observe a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash. The handset has some very good audio and video features which include playing MP3 and MPEG4 files. The handset is extremely small and has a thickness of only 16.8 mm.

The downside is this device has only 64MB of built-in memory and it lacks support for Bluetooth or Infrared. USB transfer is the only option.

The Newgen T3 should be released sometime in December. While initially meant for the Chinese markets, the device holds enough potential to be introduced into the west as well.
