Including the 24-inch model

It?s not often that the rumor mills are right, but this week they are right twice, as Apple rolls out new modes of iMacs, including the much talked about 23-inch model, that actually came out as a 24-inch model.

The new line is quite impressive, from several points of view. Firstly, all new iMacs feature the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Secondly, other than the lowest model, all iMacs come with at least 1GB of RAM, out of the box. And last but not least, the pricing is even more competitive than ever, across the board.

"Every iMac-from the $999 model up through the new dazzling 24-inch widescreen model now features blazing Core 2 Duo performance," said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, in the press release. "And the new 24-inch widescreen iMac is the fastest, biggest and brightest iMac we've ever made."

The new iMac line is shipping today and will be available through the Apple Store, Apple's retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.
