Steve Chen, YouTube co-founder, made a trip to Taiwan where he revealed a lot of interesting plans for the online video sharing service. Among others, the most important one is obviously a new flavor of YouTube that will have a new side for the Chinese users soon. At this time, more than half of the users are accessing YouTube from outside the US so the founders plan to split the service into two flavors: English and Chinese. Steve Chen was born in Taiwan and is currently the Chief Technology Officer of YouTube. In addition, the online video sharing service will become 100 percent accessible from mobile devices because the technology evolves and YouTube must face the pressure with new tools.

"Chen said the Internet was moving from the so-called Web 2.0 era -- user-generated content in a user-oriented environment -- to the Web. 3.0 era, in which users are no longer tied to their PCs, while enjoying much more personalized and individualized content and services on the go," Taipei Times reported.

As you can see, YouTube grows up continuously and at the same time, it manages to attract more and more users. Still, it is extremely important to bring new technologies and ideas for the online video sharing service as a lot of companies announced their plans to develop similar services and challenge the Internet giant. Although there are a lot of Google products accessible from mobile devices, YouTube is the first one that will become 100 percent compatible with the handhelds and allow users to benefit from all its features.

YouTube is an online video sharing service that was founded in 2005 after Steve Chen and Chad Hurley created a video at a party and didn't find any page to upload it on. To resolve the problem, they decided to create their own service that is currently owned by Google since October 2006.
