Microsoft has scheduled the official launch of its next generation Windows for supercomputers for the week of September 20, 2010.

Next week, the Redmond company will officially ship Windows HPC Server 2008 R2, with a series of events planned.

Softpedia readers already know that the successor of Windows HPC Server 2008 was released to manufacturing earlier this summer, with little fanfare from the software giant.

“Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 or version 3 of the Windows HPC Server product has RTMed in July. The official launch event has been set for week of 9/20 in New York City,” revealed a member of the Windows HPC team.

At the bottom of this article customers will be able to read the complete agenda of the events Microsoft announced for the launch of Windows HPC Server 2008 R2.

It’s extremely interesting to look over the topics that the Redmond company plans to discuss with participants.

In this regard, companies interested in Microsoft’s platform for the high performance market should send representatives to the events. Registration is opened via www.weekonwallst.com (email Wallstreet at microsoft.com).
