14 DAY TRIAL // SQL Server 2008 R2 is not the only Microsoft platform that received an updated Training Kit this month. The Redmond company is offering not only the SQL Server 2008 R2 Update for Developers Training Kit (June 2010 Update), but also a refreshed version of the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit. Both are available through the Microsoft Download Center. The Windows Azure Platform Training Kit – June Update in particular has been updated with new content designed to tailor the resources to the latest iteration of the software giant’s development platform, Visual Studio 2010.
“We have just updated the Windows Azure Platform training kit (June 2010 edition). It is now available and ready for download. This training kit has everything you need to get started and then dig deep into the Windows Azure platform. The training kit includes lots of Hands on Labs, presentations, videos, and demos,” Microsoft’s Bill Zack revealed.
The Windows Azure Platform Training Kit is an excellent resource especially for customers looking to get insight into the Cloud OS itself, but also into SQL Azure and AppFabric. Of course that, in addition to Visual Studio 2010, the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit – June Update has also been adapted to .NET Framework 4. On top of the hands-on labs, presentations, videos, and demos, the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit also contains samples and tools, including: Windows Azure MMC, Windows Azure Service Management CmdLets, and PhluffyFotos.
