They will be ready to receive new Core i3 and Pentium CPUs next month

As some may have already surmised, from announcements like Gigabyte's new mainboard launch, H81-powered motherboards are the rave right now.

Well, not the rave perhaps, but they are what motherboard makers are focused on at the moment.

The reason? Intel will release new entry-level Core i3 and Pentium central processing units in September, both during and after the IFA 2013 trade show of next week.

Obviously, its OEMs are preparing the first batch of compatible platforms. It wouldn't do to only have old motherboards compatible with the likes of Core i3 4330 and Pentium G3430.

Gigabyte and ASUS will, as always, be the main forces. In addition to entry-level motherboards, they will launch some mid-range models as well.

Not surprising, with H61 selling so poorly. H81 is seen as a chance to make up for lost time and money.
