Fourth installment of the franchise will be out in June, stand apart from the other 3

Paramount Pictures is upping the ante on the marketing for its summer blockbuster, the Michael Bay-directed “Transformers: Age of Extinction” or, as some fans would like to call it, the “Transformers” movie Bay said he would never ever make because he would stop at the third.

“Age of Extinction” replaces all the leading actors with new faces, including Shia LaBeouf. Mark Wahlberg, who worked with Bay on “Pain & Gain” and impressed him so much that he got the lead in “Transformers,” stars as a mechanic who accidentally discovers a Transformer and sets out to hide it from the government, who is out to destroy all of them.

That’s him in the photo above, a brand new poster for the film. He and his daughter (Nicola Peltz) will be caught smack in the middle of the never-ending war between Autobots and Decepticons, hence their attempt pictured above of making a run for their life.

Mark Wahlberg recently said that “Transformers” was “the most iconic franchise in movie history” and that he was thrilled and honored to have been asked to be a part of it. Let’s just hope this ridiculous statement doesn’t come to bite him in the you-know-what once the latest installment is out.
