This August, 20th Century Fox will be rebooting the “Fantastic Four” franchise with a new film starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell and Reg. E Cathey. A new trailer for it has been released, and as always, you can find it embedded below.

However, unlike the preview that came out in January, this one hints at a more generic superhero movie, which is why it feels so familiar. It’s like it’s the same film that came out in 2005, but only darker and with a younger cast.

On the upside, even in this context, it should still provide enough for fans of the comics to want to see it: the acting seems solid, the special effects are good and there’s the usual geek humor there with the action scenes.

“Fantastic Four” tells the story of a group of researchers who discover interdimensional travel with the purpose of helping mankind. During one of the experiments, they’re exposed to radiation and acquire superpowers, but they also open the door to an unspeakable evil that will threaten to destroy the world.

Indeed, this new trailer offers a good look at Dr. Doom. It’s up to the 4 Fantastics to stop him, once they have learned to master their powers.
