14 DAY TRIAL // The official news websites belonging to The New Times of Rwanda (newtimes.co.rw) was hacked and their members’ details were posted online in a Pastebin document.
It seems as an automated tool was utilized to detect the vulnerabilities which allowed the hacker who calls himself Rwandan Hacker to obtain the tons of data.
About 600 names, usernames and passwords were leaked, but since all the passwords are in clear text, I’m not going to give wannabe hackers the opportunity to access email accounts.
Since the website’s content is in English, there is a good chance that their readers may stumble upon this article.
This is why I advise them to immediately change the passwords to all their accounts, including email and social networking, especially if they use the same password to protect all their digital assets.
