On July 1, Arnold Schwarzenegger will “be back” as Terminator in the new “Terminator” reboot, thus keeping a promise he first made in 1984, when the original movie came out. Some things have changed about his character, as the new trailer reveals.

You can find it embedded below in full and in HD.

This is the second reboot for the franchise, after the poorly-received “Terminator: Salvation” from 2009. Alan Taylor is at the helm, directing from a script by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.

Previously released promo footage hinted that Arnie’s Terminator was no longer the bad guy, but this new trailer delivers the surprise of revealing who he is. Apparently, John Connor (Jason Clarke) has been a very, very naughty boy.

All jokes aside, it does look like this new trailer delivers a massive spoiler, and fans of the “Terminator” franchise are anything but happy about it. Then again, trailers are known to be very deceiving, and this could also be the case here.

We’ll see for certain in July. “Genisys” stars Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor and Jai Courtney as Sgt. Kyle Reese. Schwarzenegger plays the protector of Sarah Connor in the past, but a youngified version of himself is also included. Apparently, they get into a fight at some point.
