His side actually and he's getting his a*s kicked too, but they're good images nonetheless

Tekken 6 news seldom emerge this time of the year and while the game is approaching completions with the passing of each day, Namco has disclosed little information about it, not to mention the rolling out of gameplay screenshots. Today however is a good day, as the developer has indeed made available, not one, not two, not even three, but a total of four screenshots depicting actual gameplay. We're even given a small treat.

The treat of course, is Bob, the new character to the series. He's in the first of the four images below. Yes, apparently as fat as he is, he's still getting his a*s kicked, and by a girl too (Christie Monteiro).

According to an earlier story, Bob's background says that with his toned body and handsome face he was very popular. However when he was unable to beat opponents who were larger than he was, Bob became determined to engineer his body to increase power and weight while maintaining speed. For this reason, Bob disappeared from the fighting world. A few years later after completing his body engineering, everyone around him is shocked at his appearance! Although people are not taking Bob seriously anymore, he is confident about his newfound strength. To test his newfound power he enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.

Of course, Tekken was never much of a story-based fighting game, even though its developer tried making it seem that way. The Japanese surely understand its plot better than us Europeans do, but everyone can agree that the Tekken series has a pretty dull storyline. Not to mention that the only time gamers really saw a story backing up the title was by the launch of the game's third installment.

Still, the screenshots below show the exact reason why Tekken 6 doesn't need that profound of a storyline (not that we're not hoping Tekken 6 delivers it). They're gorgeous. Still, when the latest gameplay video emerged, we were almost certain that Namco was going to make a big announcement, or at least roll out a decent looking footage of the game in action (not shaking-camera footage), as it is shaping up so well.
