Team Fortress 2 has just received a brand new update from Valve, bringing forth quite a few changes to specific mechanics but also tweaks to the beta version of the Mannpower mode and the prices of the Mann Co. store prices.

Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are currently Valve's biggest games, according to the stats on the Steam platform, but this doesn’t mean that the studio is neglecting its first online hit – Team Fortress 2 – as the free-to-play first-person shooter has received a lot of great updates in recent months.

For the winter holidays, the studio introduced the traditional Smissmas update, and instead of just bringing new cosmetic items and other holiday-themed gear, the patch also had a fresh beta game mode called Mannpower, which introduced powerups and a variety of other things to the game.

A fresh patch tweaks Mannpower and many other things

Now, after the holiday break, Valve's back with a fresh update for Team Fortress 2, starting first with the Mannpower mode, according to the official blog. Several game-breaking glitches, such as not being able to equip the grappling hook, as well as issues with the weapon switching system, are fixed by the patch. Spy players who use the Vampire powerup will also be healed for the damage they inflict via Sappers to the sentries of the enemy Engineers.

Grappling hooks should no longer attach to dead or inexistent players, while the spawn invulnerability time has been increased from six seconds to eight. Spawn camping should further be reduced thanks to tweaks to the two Mannpower maps in order to prevent engineers from buildings sentries right where enemies appear.

The regular game also has a few improvements

The update also targets a few different issues with the regular game. Stickybombs should have a correct air detonation radius and inflict more precise damage when thrown in the air. Grenades should also inflict consistent damage against buildings and the tanks in the Mann vs. Machine mode.

Last but not least, besides a few other smaller improvements, the Mann Co. store prices for foreign currencies should have updated equivalents to the U.S. dollar.
