If you haven't heard by now, the new PSP Slim (recently confirmed by Sony to ship September 5th) features some extras. Aside from allowing gamers to stick a TV tuner and a GPS onto it (which is already effing great), a recent report now reveals a snakebyte Premium Component & Composite Cable for the handheld, enabling PSP owners to connects the console to their TV set.

The 3rd party video gaming accessory pros from sunflex Europe complement their repeatedly awarded Premium Cable range with the snakebyte Premium Component & Composite Cable for use with the upcoming PSP Slim. The all-rounder cable is capable of playing back all PSP content - whether games or media and is on top fully compatible to all kinds of TV systems including TFT, plasma, and even older CRT, reads the report.

Shouldn't this announcement go... "fully compatible 'with' all kinds of TV systems including CRT (first), TFT," and "even plasma," towards the end of the listing? I mean, we know that plasma quality is what everyone should be viewing, and it's certainly what every electronics giant is optimizing its hardware and software for, but CRT is still part of many gamers' lives... It's a little sad, but I guess this is the reality. And yes, I own a CRT TV set.

Anyway, the report also confirms that the snakebyte Premium Component & Composite Cable complies to the renowned high snakebyte quality standards, becoming available in late September for the low price 19,99 Euros. More than that, they say that the new cable has started a general change in sunflex' pricing policy. As such, all of snakebyte's Premium Cables have been "harmonised" to an affordable 19,99 Euros.

Here are the snakebyte Premium Component & Composite Cable's features (for use with the new PSP Slim):

- Optimal picture quality with progressive signal - Anticorrosive gold plated contacts for ideal signal quality - Metallic cinch connectors with rubbered grips - Additional Stereo Audio & Composite Video Cinch output - Solid copper wires with multiple shielding 2m cable length

Imagine that this is just the tip of the iceberg, as far as accessories for the PSP Slim are concerned. The console hasn't even launched properly and every accessory maker is already throwing its best stuff at it. Expect great announcements for the PSP Slim in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if it took you on a trip to the Moon later on in its lifetime.
