Google has announced the release of a new stable build for Google Chrome, the company’s lightweight web browser used by fans worldwide on Macs, Windows PCs, and Linux machines.

Also available for the Beta channel for all supported platforms, Google Chrome 6.0.472.59 focuses solely on security, according to “Jason Kersey, of the Google Chrome team.

“Google Chrome 6.0.472.59 has been released to the Stable and Beta channels for Windows, Mac, and Linux,” Jason Kersey writes on the Google blog dedicated to Chrome releases.

“In addition, it has been released to the beta channel for Chrome Frame,” Kersey says.

“Please see the Chromium security page for more detail. Note that the referenced bugs may be kept private until a majority of our users are up to date with the fix,” Kersey adds.

Containing nothing but security fixes rewards, the official changelog for Google Chrome 6.0.472.59 is reproduced below in its entirely.
