Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson seems set to bring to the market during the next year a handful of new devices that would be able to deliver a great experience to its users, and a new one reportedly made an appearance into the wild.

Apparently, the new mobile phone would be different from currently available handsets, and even from the already rumored Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 or the PlayStation Phone.

The device in question made an appearance into the wild on Picassa, in a series of photos taken with what seems to be another yet unannounced handset from the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer.

According to the guys over at Pocketnow, the photos were taken with a device that sports the model number LT15i, while the phone in these pictures would sport the codename of Hallon, with model number MT15i attached to it.

Chances are that both of these devices would be running under the Android operating system, and the news site even notes that they might come with the latest version of the platform on board, namely Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The most interesting part of this story is that these devices are expected to be completely different from the already rumored PlayStation Phone (a.k.a. Zeus, Xperia Z1, and Xperia Play) as well as from the said Xperia X12, aka Anzu.

One way or the other, we might learn all about it as soon as the Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona in February 2011.

The mobile phone maker is set to make an official announcement on the next addition to the Xperia family at the said event, and one of these two devices, or the Xperia X12, might take the spotlight there.

According to some of the latest rumors around the Internet, given the fact that Sony Ericsson has trademarked, among other monikers, the Xperia Play name, there are great chances that even the PlayStation Phone would be added to the Xperia series.

For the time being, the only thing that seems to be official is that Sony Ericsson would unveil a new Xperia device in about one month and a half from now. Keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.
