We've seen plenty of HDD enclosures and other such storage solutions from Sharkoon making their way onto the market lately, and now, it's about time to take a closer look at yet another such product of this type, namely the Quickstore Portable Pro.

Available in both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 versions (the latter is sort of pointless, as far as we're concerned, given the fact that most discerning customers opt for future-proof devices these days), the new enclosure from Sharkoon has been designed to house both HDD and SSD units, measuring either 9.5 mm or 12.5 mm in thickness.

This is possible due to the fact that the enclosures come equipped with a special adapter, enabling users to easily adjust the available internal housing space.

In fact, according to Sharkoon, installing any storage drive (whether we're talking about a hard-disk drive or solid-state drive) within the enclosure is a very fast, easy and tool less process, the user manual provided in the sales package providing detailed information for users to get a hang of this thing's functionality in no time.

However, the external dimensions won't be affected, the enclosure measuring 134 x 82 x 18.5 mm and weighing around 80 grams, which makes it very easy to carry around.

Furthermore, the new enclosures offer a „One Click Backup“ function in Win XP/Vista/7 (32-bit and 64-bit), which being accompanied by an assortment of cables (3-meter USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 cables are provided with each purchase).

According to Sharkoon, its new Quickstore Portable Pro enclosures are available in two color versions, namely either a silver or a black brushed metal finish, which means that users will be able to opt for the model that best suits their needs and requirements.

The new storage enclosures from Sharkoon are priced at around 10 Euro (the USB 2.0 model) and 17 Euro (the USB 3.0 variant), which makes them extremely affordable, all things considered.
