“You are the last piece of the puzzle,” the Jigsaw’s voice says in the few final seconds of the brand new trailer for “Saw 3D.” Clearly, by “you,” he means the entire audience.

“Saw 3D” is the first film in the franchise to be made in 3D but it’s also the final installment, as producers have come to the conclusion that there’s only so much they can stretch the story.

The first teaser for the film premiered this year at San Diego’s Comic-Con and now fans can check out the first official trailer, which does to trailers what no other horror movie ever did.

In other words, the new release doesn’t just show some of the things fans will see in October, when the film arrives in theaters, but it also suggests that the 3D effects will be so awesome and believable it will be like they will personally be in it.

Case in point, one shot shows moviegoers enjoying the film, when metal straps jump out of the seat and pin them down, only to force them to experience firsthand (literally) the horrors on screen.

Towards the end of the video, which you can see embedded at the end of the article, moviegoers are again exposed to the atrocities on screen, as some sort of cart comes out of the screen and heads in their direction.

“As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw’s brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror,” Shockya says of the synopsis of the film.

“The marketing for this movie has an old school horror vibe to it. They used to run similar promotions when 3D first came out back in the 1950s and now they’re doing it again,” ScreenCrave also writes of the new trailer.

As also noted above, this is the final installment of what has been a very successful horror franchise – as such, the use of 3D is explained by wanting to make of it a memorable farewell.

Below is the first official trailer for “Saw 3D.” Enjoy.
