A brand new yet unannounced mobile phone from Samsung has made it into the wild recently, namely the Samsung B7610 Louvre. According to the news, the new device is meant to come as the replacement of the older Samsung F700, which was released more than a year ago.

The new handset has been spotted at The Phone House, and one can easily see that it borrows a lot from the design of the F700. What Samsung B7610 Louvre brings along is a sliding QWERTY keyboard, as well as a similar form factor as the one of the F700. On the other hand, this time we're looking at a smartphone that comes to the market running under the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

There are not too many details available on the specification list of the new mobile phone, yet it might come with UMTS / HSDPA connectivity, while a capable photo snapper and other smartphone features like a GPS receiver or WiFi support should be present as well, and we hope that more info on its functionality will become available in the near future. At the same time, it remains to be seen where the device has taken its name from, and whether it has any connection with the Louvre Museum or not.

It seems that the new Samsung B7610 Louvre is expected to become available on the market as soon as July 2009, though there are no official details on the exact release date unveiled at the moment. Yet, given the expected launch time frame, we might as well assume that the operating system available on the smartphone could actually be Windows Mobile 6.5, as the platform is also expected to come to the market in the third quarter of the ongoing year. Stay tuned to learn the details as soon as they surface.
