The storage devices aren't all that fast, but they definitely have style

The new brinell Drive SSDs from Karlsruhe design company aren't really as great as their maker claims, performance-wise anyway.

Despite the words “performance is truly breathtaking” and “the fastest data transfer rate yet,” I can't agree with the assessment.

Sure, 350 MB/s write and 450 MB/s read is really awesome, but I've seen plenty of 500 MB/s or 550 MB/s read/write drives.

Still, at least the design company has a point about the style of its drives. After all, it's not every day that 120 GB, 250 GB and 500 GB SSDs come clad in carbon, Nappa leather or Makassar ebony veneer. The light metal frames are a good choice too.

Sadly, these drives are bound to cost a lot whenever they hit stores. We don't know the prices, but that may be a good thing for the faint of heart.
