The new slider phones will be released only in Korea

Samsung Korea has revealed a series of new mobiles at the 3GSM International Congress in Barcelona. The SCH-V840, SPH-V8400 and the SPH-V8450 are part of a line of super-slim slider phones that have already sold 9000 units in Korea.

The SPH-V8400 has a thickness of 15.9 mm, includes a 1.3 megapixel camera and has a unique function which Samsung likes to call "airplane mode" which automatically turns off the call function but lets customers use other functions on the fly. Other features include MP3 audio playback, voice recognition, PictBridge wireless printing and microSD memory cards. Among the installed software one can mention MS Office/PDF/JPG/TXT Picsel Viewer, photo editor, dictionary. The battery lasts 70-205 hours in standby mode and supports about 50 minutes of talk-time.

The series is due to be released in March 2006 only in Korea.
