Another level of beauty and brawn

As for the end of the day one hot and neat piece of news from the guys you thought they ceased producing great gear many years ago... Pioneer. It's time to announce you that Pioneer weren't at all wasting time but have actually worked quite a lot and these days they're preparing to release not one but two completely new CD players, the X-Z7 and X-Z9.

I know, their names sound like in old James Bond [admark=1]movies but they're whatsoever a lot nicer and easier to remember than XGF67-OOQ13-T and other pieces of crappy names you'd meet. And even more, they're a little more beyond the usual CD players' specs as we're speaking CD/SACD players here. Meaning that you'll get the best from your hi-def discs using new gear that sounds good and looks good.

So far we haven't tested these two beauties but as far as what we think they sound like based on how they look...they're great. No fancy 300-button frontpanels with a lot of text to read and over-crowded LCD screens: just plain sobriety the old way, perfectly fit for the persons who tend to pay attention to the music rather than gazing with dumb looks at the glittering LEDs on the CD player.

Both the Pioneer X-Z7 and X-Z9 sport MP3 and WMA compatibility (otherwise it's likely we wouldn't have spent time writing more than 15 words on them); the cool thing brought in by recent tech-trends is that they come with their own set of speakers and sport USB ports allowing you to connect your digital audio players.

They can blast 2 x 50W in 4 Ohms and this means you can actually drive your neighbors insane if you decide to pump up the volume with your newest SACD deathmetal album.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
