14 DAY TRIAL // The suspect of a shooting at New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg, Virginia apparently announced his intentions on 4chan before his attack.
Two women have been shot on Friday, April 12, in the mall, which is located on a community college campus.
A man identifying himself as Neil Macinnis and mentioning that he was a student at said community college spoke about going out to shoot someone, on a message board.
He also noted that he was in school while writing the announcement. A screenshot of his post, captured by Wired is attached to this news blog.
"I'm a bit nervous because I've never really handled a shotgun but a few times," he wrote.
One of the victims is currently in stable condition after being treated at Lewis Gale Hospital in Montgomery. She has been transported to another medical facility, Lewis Gale spokesperson Nancy May describes.
The current condition of the second woman injured in the attack is not known at this point. She has been taken by helicopter to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, NY Daily News writes.
