A real competitor to Skyfire

Mobile phone users who enjoy the functionality of a handset running under the Windows Mobile operating system have now one more reason to rejoice, as a newly spotted web browser for their platform can render and transmit full desktop-class websites directly to mobile devices, namely the Mach5, which comes from NetAcceller.

Among the capabilities that the new software solution is reported to come with we can count full support for web video, meaning that Windows Mobile users now have a new option for streaming web-media directly to their handset, as well as finger-optimized interface, which is meant to provide users with an enhanced experience. In addition, the new Mach5 also allows for tabbed browsing, while including an on-screen mouse pointer meant to leverage the user experience even more.

While the new browser includes a wide range of more than attractive features, just the way Skyfire does, while also using the proxy-type method for rendering websites like the latter, it seems that it will be available for free only for a short period of time, as it is expected to turn premium in the not-so-distant future, which means that Skyfire will still have an advantage in front of its competitor after all.

For what it's worth, Skyfire can indeed prove to be one of the greatest mobile web browsers on the market at the moment, while also being considered the most capable solution of the kind when it comes to media consumption. The main feature of the browser is that it does not rely on the mobile processor for rendering pages, but uses powerful servers for that, which enables it to reach impressive speeds even when pushing streaming content to the handset.

Up until now, it seems that the application hasn't seen a real competitor on the market, yet Mach5 might prove to be one in the end. Take a look at the video below to see how the new browser performs.
