Sony has recently launched two new portable ultra-compact Picture Station photo printers - Sony DPP-FP55 and the DPP-FP35 - in order to accessorize the company's digital cameras.

Both printers feature the latest Sony technologies like dye-sublimation, which delivers a continuous cool tone for each print, producing 256 shades for each of three dye colors - cyan, magenta and yellow, and SuperCoat 2 laminate, which protects photos by applying a special film on each one of them.

Sony DPP-FP55 model has a 2 inch display perfect for image editing, zooming, cropping and red eye eliminating, meaning that the user will no longer need a PC in order to edit all the images.

The second model - DPP-FP35 - features PictBridge technology, meaning that the user can easily transfer and print the images directly from a digital camera, without a special software or PC.

The Sony DPP-FP55 printer will be available on the retail market in July at an estimated price of $150, and the DPP-FP35 model will be launched later, in September, at a price of about $100.
