Earlier this week we brought you news that PocketBook had pulled the veil off its new CAD Reader with Android, an alternative e-Paper solution aimed at professionals activating in fields like architecture and engineering.

What’s special about this device is the so-called Fina display, a technology designed to be capable of displaying images and drawings made in programs like AutoCAD and Autodesk. Fina technology doesn’t add extra bulk to the device, so the CAD Reader qualifies as a light and mobile device to be carried around.

Now the producing company has put out a commercial to highlight the benefits of using an eReader while working on a construction site. The ad says that the construction of a two-story country house needs at least 65 drawing sheets that end up being edited and changed, thus making a lot of paper go to waste.

On top of that, paper sketches can be affected by the natural elements when engineers work on site, but with the new CAD Reader, professionals won’t have to worry about that anymore.

The new CAD optimized eReader features a 13.3-inch display and a WACOM stylus. The device draws power from a 1GHz CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and offers a solid 8000 mAh battery for long life.
