Since the number of people who love to listen to music while working out is extremely high, Philips has decided that adding a device designed specifically for such activities to its lineup would be a pretty good idea, and that's how the SHB6000 was born, this bluetooth headset being both sweat proof and washable, a killer combo that should make it pretty popular with the aforementioned market segments. So, the headset has been designed with a water resistant seal to protect the headphones from sweat related damage and it's also constructed with water proof materials, allowing users to wash the headphones under running tap water. Furthermore, the Angled Acoustic Pipes and sealing earbuds cut off background noise significantly, delivering the same quality sound at lower volume and a longer battery life. Plus, with SwitchStream, users will hear a ring tone in the headset when they're receiving a call a Bluetooth enabled phone, while the sensitive microphone, volume, call and track controls are all integrated into the headset so users don't need to access the device the music's being played on (whether we're talking about a mobile phone, a Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player, a notebook, etc.). The SHB6000 supports the A2DP, AVRCP, Handsfree, Headset Bluetooth 2.1+EDR profiles and delivers a maximum range of up to 15 m. The headset is powered by Li-Polymer battery, offering 4.5 hours of playtime, 200 hours of stand-by time and around 4.5 hours of talk time. Moreover, the device sports 8.6-mm Mylar Dome drivers with a Neodymium driver inside, being able to deliver a frequency response range of 15 - 22 000 Hz, 16 ohm impedance and 102 db sensitivity, with a maximum power input of 20 mW. Pricing for the ActionFit Bluetooth Stereo Sports Headset from Philips has been set at a cool 130 US dollars, which is actually a pretty decent price point, given the features it's able to provide.
