Bring the rumble back Sony!

This is sci-fi talk we're doing over here, as neither the DualShock 3, nor the firmware update are available in our part of the globe for now. However, in case you're a console maniac, who always wants to be the first to get his hands on updates and new controllers, here's some interesting piece of info for you: it seems that the 1.94 firmware is included in the Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction game.

We remind you that this is the first title with built-in rumble support, so this firmware will go hand in hand with the DualShock 3, that features the acclaimed rumble. The only problem is that the new controller is only available in Japan and the trip to Sony's homeland will cost us an arm, a leg and a console... One can only wonder if the SIXAXIS will be dropped, since the DualShock 3 promises to be a hit and a return to the basic gaming experience that created Sony's huge fanbase.

Finally, the Japanese company seems to the fixing one of its biggest mistakes, the launch of a next-gen controller that doesn't feature a rumble mode, which is half of every game's experience. See how well the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are doing? It must be all that rumble power they give to their joysticks ... a technology that seems "borrrowed" from good old Sony.

It's just like that kid with the new cool T-Shirt... He wears it on the first day at school and then a couple of days later, he throws it in the bin, since everyone's wearing the same thing. The developer of the famous PlayStation consoles did the exact same thing, well, if you replace the T-Shirt with the features we loved in the older controller. When Microsoft and Nintendo pulled out similar controllers, Sony decided that it was time to give the rumble feature a rest... Thank God they got their sense back and listened to the fans!
