As we mentioned in previous articles, one of the most important parts of a high-performance desktop computer system is the chassis, as this is meant to protect the internal pieces of hardware, but also provide the required cooling solution to enable the components to work at optimum levels. On that note, NZXT, a company that specializes in the development of computer peripherals and chassis, has recently rolled out the new Lexa S desktop computer case. The new solution has been designed, according to its manufacturer, to provide customers with a choice for a high-performance chassis that comes at an affordable price tag.

“We really wanted to offer gamers a solution for under $70 that offers optimal performance with out [sic] compromise” Johnny Hou, chief designer at NZXT, said. “With Lexa S you get enhanced airflow, sleek aesthetics, superior cable management and added features like an SSD bracket.”

Designed as an affordable alternative to some of the other high-end and cool-looking cases on the market, the Lexa S provides users with support for a high-performance desktop rig, thanks to an enhanced airflow system. According to the technical specifications of this new solution, the Lexa S can be customized with up to five fans, including a 120mm one in the front, a 120mm LED fan at one side, two top-mounted, 140mm fans and a rear 120mm one. Additionally, the case also boasts seven internal, 3.5-inch drive bays, coupled with four external, 5.25-inch bays.

Designed with a sleek look and a steel construction, the Lexa S comes equipped with a 500-Watt power supply and is capable of housing ATX, Micro-ATX and Baby AT motherboards. With a price tag of just US$70, this NZXT chassis comes as a possible choice for computer enthusiasts looking to build themselves a high-performance gaming rig that also offers an interesting design.
