Microsoft inaugurated its thirteenth retail outlet this week, this time in Silicon Valley. Check out the images accompanying this article in order to get an idea of what happened at the opening of the latest Microsoft Store.

According to the software giant, Microsoft Corporate Vice President Dan’l Lewin cut the ribbon for the first Bay Area Microsoft Store located in Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara.

He was joined by Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews, as well as by San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed, the Redmond company noted.

As usual, Microsoft transformed the store’s opening into a very exciting event. As users can see from the image gallery, the company managed to draw in quite a crowd.

Contributing to the excitement was the fact that Microsoft offered customers tickets to exclusive performances to artists such as The Black Keys and Joe Jonas.
