Developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have announced that Kasumi, the new premium downloadable content to arrive for Mass Effect 2 in April, is set to cost 560 Microsoft Points for those who pick up the space role playing game on the Xbox 360 and 560 BioWare points for those who pick it up on the PC through the Cerberus Network content delivery system. Every 80 BioWare points are the equivalent of 1 dollar, so the new content is priced at 7.

Kasumi Goto is said to be the most capable thief in the galaxy and even Cerberus has been unable to actually recruit her until now but it seems that the presence of Commander Shepard has made a difference.

Her loyalty mission is based around Donovan Hock, one of the cruelest criminal lords of the known space, who resides on planet Bekenstein. Kasumi and Shepard must work together to infiltrate his compound as he throws a party for other hardened criminals and get some information important to Kasumi and possibly to the rest of humanity.

The Stolen Memory pack also introduces an Achievement, a new sub machine gun and a fresh upgrade to improve the efficiency of the party. On March 23, all those who bought Mass Effect 2 new will be able to download the Firewalker DLC pack, which introduces the Hammerhead all terrain vehicle and five new missions that use it on five explorable worlds.

Aaryn Flynn, the general manager of the BioWare Edmonton studio, stated that “Mass Effect 2 is BioWare’s highest Metacritic game to date, and we are excited to be able to expand that experience by introducing another engaging new character in Kasumi. Kasumi – Stolen Memory is a testament to our promise to continue to provide fans with new, compelling, high quality post-launch content.”
