Apple Deals featuring new Macs

In a move similar to that of last week, Apple has updated its Special Deals area to include new Mac refurbs. A $749 Mac mini posted just this morning has already been snagged by a lucky customer, leaving the $849 MacBook and the $999 iMac in place for others to acquire at discounted prices.

The Refurbished MacBook 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo is a new-generation, polycarbonate 13-inch MacBook, which ships with a standard 2GB memory, 250GB of storage, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics and a built-in (non-removable) seven-hour battery. The system is pre-owned, but Apple promises it has undergone its stringent refurbishment process prior to being posted on its Special Deals section. It costs $849 ($150 off the original price).

Saving you even more on the purchase of a new Mac ($200) is the Refurbished iMac 21.5-inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, now selling through Apple’s Special Deals area for just $999. It features a 21.5-inch, LED-backlit, glossy widescreen display, 4GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB of memory, and the ever-present, built-in iSight camera.
