North American Cable Equipment (NACE) proudly announces the new brand they have developed, a major "initiative providing an opportunity to expand home entertainment presence beyond traditional cable TV and satellite TV technologies and products" as declared by Aaron Starr, founder and president of NACE.

The new division will have very precise goals, all revolving around the main idea of manufacturing hi-quality loudspeakers and similar equipment for the discerning audiophiles, but all at more affordable prices than ever.

The emerging new brand was encouraged by the very positive feedback from selected groups of audiophiles who have acclaimed the audio quality, manufacturing and packaging conditions brought forth by Symphonic Designs. The new series of loudspeakers will target the consumers with middle to high income rates and NACE claims it will be able to fairly compete with the rest of the leading names in the industry.

Symphonic Designs' new line of products will feature the SD-THX-1 5 piece home theater speaker system, the SD-SS10 active subwoofer system, the SD-502 2-piece satellite stereo speakers for indoor and outdoor applications, the SD-AAR2-E 2-piece in-ceiling speakers and the SD-AA2-E 2-piece in-wall speakers.

The announced prices are not quite the audiophile-grade equipment prices we've been expecting and are more than affordable:

-SD-AAR2-E 2-piece in-ceiling speaker: $50 per pair -SD-502: $70 per pair -SD-SS10 subwoofer: $130 -SD-THX-1: $150.

It's now a matter of time until the components reach their customers are put to thorough use and then we'll see about the "in the wild" feedback. We nevertheless must admit that in the event of Symponic Designs' new loudspeaker series being truly as specced and most reliable, they will be a complete hit.

The SD-THX-1 is the perfect present for a sound lover...maybe I'll get one for my birthday. Learn more here.
