So if you have a mini-ITX or mini-DTX motherboard, you're good to go

Lian Li started out as a maker of peculiar cases, so I really should not be surprised that the newest one is made for DIY NAS devices.

Still, all network-attached storage units I've seen so far were those already pre-built, only lacking in drives but not bays.

Still, I remember the first case from Lian Li that I wrote about, the Pitstop that looked like a red spider, so that dampens the shock somewhat.

Anyway, the Lian Li PC-Q35 is made for NAS units, featuring seven drive bays (five 3.5, two 2.5 inches), a 120 mm fan mounted on the HDD cage and a lockable, aluminum front bezel.

If you don't want to turn it into a NAS, that's fine too. You can install normal hardware, even graphics cards of 300 mm / 11.81 inches. Two USB ports and HD audio jacks are available also.

Sales are underway in the UK for £108 / $176 / €130.
