Lenovo is no stranger to tablets. Back in October, the tech giant announced its multi-mode Yoga tablet, which can stand by itself, and this month at CES the company pushed out the all-new business ThinkPad 8 slate complete with the innovative Quickshot cover.

Now it appears that Lenovo will not be stopping here when it comes to tablets. A couple of new Lenovo slates, the A7600 and A5500, have been spotted paying a visit at the FCC and showed up on the GFXBenchmark site too. Moreover, the two models have been approved for use in China (via Teena).

According to the filings, the Lenovo A5500 will come bundling an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor, Dolby Mobile sound and an 8MP rear snapper.

As for the Lenovo A7600, it should come sporting a pretty similar sized display albeit with a better resolution. Both slates will run Android 4.2.2 out of the box and are Wi-Fi capable. The Chinese approved models also have 3G and will allow users to place voice calls.

Nothing else is known about the upcoming tablets, but we could speculate they are part of the IdeaTab family.
