Kaspersky has launched a new version of Kaspersky Small Office Security, the solution that’s designed to help small companies protect their networks against online threats.

Kaspersky Small Office Security is easy to deploy, since most small companies don’t afford to hire system administrators. However, the IT security solutions provider says the product is still capable of offering enhanced protection.

The new features implemented into the latest release include Safe Money, a technology that’s designed to protect financial transactions against phishing and data interception attacks.

Furthermore, considering that most firms rely on smartphones and tablets, Small Office Security has been enhanced with support for Android mobile devices.

Another new feature is the Automatic Exploit Prevention. This system protects businesses against cyberattacks that leverage known or unknown vulnerabilities.

Small Office Security also comes with a password manager that stores passcodes in an encrypted vault and automatically inserts them when needed. A secure portable version of the vault can be created on a USB drive.

Finally, the product features an online backup system that allows businesses to automatically save critical data to the cloud or a local server.

Businesses can order up to 25 licenses, each of them providing protection for a PC and an Android mobile device.

“Kaspersky Small Office Security is one of our company’s best examples of combining the IT security industry’s best protection technologies into a form that anyone with even modest computer knowledge can easily understand,” noted Kaspersky Lab’s Chief Technology Officer, Nikolay Grebennikov.

“Shortening the learning curve has always been a priority for our small business products, and the latest version of Kaspersky Small Office Security ensures business owners can purchase the product on their lunch break, and have it fully installed across their business by end of day.”
