While other companies are releasing gaming headphones and headsets, Jabra decided to give its own latest product, namely the Jabra Extreme headset, a different asset in the form of Skype certification.

The Jabra Extreme measures 47 x 18.5 x 27.5 mm, weighs 10 grams and delivers crystal clear sound, especially voice, thanks to the DSP.

The product also features the Multiuse technology, which allows it to be connected to two devices at the same time.

Basically, this allows the headset to be connected to both a personal computer (PC) and a mobile phone at the same time.

The company also threw in Noise Blackout Extreme with dual-microphones, automatic volume adjustment and Acoustic Shock protection.

What's more, the product features a dedicated on/off slider, the ability to stream multimedia (audio, music, podcasts, video, etc) and a talk time of 5.5 hours.

Finally, Jabra implemented a dual wearing style, with Ultimate-Fit Eargels and flexible ear hooks.

“The Jabra EXTREME - FOR PC is designed for comfort and style - users won't even realize that they are wearing a headset,” states the official press release.

“Specially developed Ultimate-fit Eargels mold to any ear shape to ensure a snug fit: one size really does fit all with the Jabra EXTREME - FOR PC. The headset also comes with two rotatable ear hooks that are contoured to fit the ear perfectly, ensuring a comfortable fit all day long,” the announcement added.

The newcomer communicates via Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and eSCO but is also bundled with an USB adapter. It is optimized for Skype calls and is selling through Best Buy stores at a price of $100.

The Jabra Extreme is described as "the best sounding/performing Bluetooth headset my team has put through our test laboratories," by Ed Botterill, Certification Manager at Skype.
