The long-awaited Halo: The Master Chief Collection beta update might have been delayed, but the development team at 343 Industries continues its long-term engagement with the player community by offering a new Bulletin video that deals with a range of issues linked to the franchise.

The first topic tackles the Halo Championship Series, which has been running for a while despite the problems that the core game still has, and the way the community has been engaging with it.

At the moment, players are working through a series of online events before a major real-world contest decides the winners of the first Season.

343 Industries states, “Denial walked away this week with another win under their belt. Since coming out on top at UGC St. Louis early this month, Denial has been on a hot streak making this their second first place finish out of the last three HCS events. While they’re still behind CLG (who beat Denial in the Cup #3 finals), they’re maintaining a solid 445 point lead ahead of seed 3, Evil Geniuses.”

The Halo Bulletin also invites gamers to send in their creations linked to the series so that they can be featured on the official channel and showcases some of the content gamers can use to learn more about the extended universe.

No word yet on Halo 5: Guardians gameplay changes

The new video does not mention the coming beta update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which was supposed to arrive last week in order to improve matchmaking and gameplay for the title that launched on the Xbox One in November.

There is also no word on the changes that the 343 Industries team might be getting ready to make to Halo 5: Guardians, which was in beta for three weeks.

The studio has previously stated that it plans to use player feedback and data gathered to tweak the way the mechanics work, even if it has no plans to eliminate any of the new concepts, like Smart Scope or sprinting.

Halo 5: Guardians is set to be launched on the Xbox One in the fall of this year, and Microsoft and 343 Industries will try to make sure that it does not suffer from any major problems when it is released.
