CES 2010 is the place to be, if you are looking to set your eyes on the latest hardware, gadgets and technologies that will become available this year or in the near future. Some companies have already gone ahead of themselves and announce a couple of the things that they'll showcase during the show. Gigabyte is one of the companies that will showcase its updated product lineup, including new motherboards that will boast Intel's latest chipsets and will feature the latest USB 3.0 connectivity option.

According to reports on the Internet, the Taiwanese company will focus on its latest line of USB 3.0-based mobos, including the GA-H57M-USB3 and GA-H55M-USB models, both of which are designed on two of Intel's latest chipsets, H57 and H55, respectively. The two will further expand the company's USB 3.0 motherboard offering to a total of 13 models, providing consumers with support for the latest hardware and technologies.

The company intends to demo its latest USB 3.0 motherboards, alongside 3rd party SuperSpeed devices, while also planning to intro no less than 11 new motherboard models, before the end of this month. On that note, the company has put up a dedicated website where users can see a list of motherboards that are currently available or will become available in the future. In addition, the site also offers a list of devices that are compatible with the USB 3.0 specifications.

USB 3.0 is expected to replace the current USB 2.0 standard, as the main connectivity option for peripheral devices. Offering support for increased transfer speeds, the new standard has already been made available on some Intel-based motherboards, with a couple of new devices having already being announced on the market. There's a good chance that wave of new USB 3.0-compatible devices will be showcased during this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
