Movie and slideshow authoring

Ashampoo Burning Studio should resonate to any respectable computer user looking for an alternative to pricey disc burning software on the market. A new version is about to break through, with the beta already available for download to users worldwide via the Softpedia Exclusive program.

The application is still in the making (nitpickers out there save your comments for the final release), so various bugs are still to be corrected, but this is no stopping to analyze the fresh features pushed in the new edition.

The tenth version of Ashampoo Burning Studio comes with a completely redesigned Burn Movies menu, which holds more options and increased functionality. Through Movie and Slideshow Authoring option, you can create your own discs (DVD or Blu-ray) with custom menus. Video and still images can be combined on the same disc to form professional looking media presentations.

The flexibility of this module includes the possibility to create a movie (thus mixing pictures with videos), a slideshow (pictures only) or just add video and create a menu for it.

Ease of use is at large in any of these cases because of the intuitive interface that leaves no room for confusion. Presets available for themes, logos and different shapes you can apply as a top layer of the resulting video are complemented by the possibility to customize the elements or add text and images of your own.

Even more flexibility is shown in the case of movies. With Ashampoo Burning Studio, you no longer need an additional program to trim video to the desired scenes because this is integrated in its set of options. You can define a start/end time of the video, split it in two or cut areas out.

All the modifications you do to the menu of the resulting disc can be previewed at any time in the lower right part of the screen. The video player included in the interface features only the basic buttons, but it is enough to let you know about the final result. There is a timer, the stop button, pause/play button and a volume bar to crank the sound up and down.

The various transition effects you can choose from coupled with a carefully selected soundtrack could turn your project into a hit among friends. All the options are extremely easy to handle and require no help at all in order to skillfully master them.
