Dell has released a great deal of products for the consumer market, but it seems that it has definitely not forgotten about the enterprise market, as shown by its most recent press release.

When it comes to releasing new products and services, companies go about things in different ways on the consumer and enterprise fronts.

On the former, single devices often get their own press releases and even show up on video, as well as electronics shows and such.

The enterprise market is different, as customers like to have access to complete lines of products and services, meaning that IT players launch entire portfolios at a time.

This is exactly what Dell did, having delivered the new Enterprise Mobility Services, enterprise scale end-to-end hardware, software, communications technologies and services.

“As the complexity and challenge of managing a wider variety of mobile devices on multiple systems rises, we will deliver a mobile solution that is secure, manageable, scalable, and open in support of our customers.” said Mary Chan, vice president, Dell Enterprise Mobile Solutions

“The rapid adoption of smartphone and tablet technology is changing how enterprises do business in ways we never thought possible and challenge enterprises on how to best utilize mobility without compromising security,” added Steve Schuckenbrock, president, Dell Services.

“Enterprise Mobility Services alleviates these concerns and allows our customers to strategically map out how best to use mobile technology.”

The new portfolio is meant as an investment in advanced services capable of addressing critical challenges as the work force becomes more and more mobile.

The areas approached are those of Strategic Consulting, Security and Compliance, Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (DMAP-Dell Mobility Application Platform), Custom Application Development, Telecom Expense Management and Mobile Device Management.

North America and the UK are he first markets set to receive the new business portfolio, followed by EMEA and APJ regions.

“Enterprise Mobility Services is designed to deliver all the benefits of mobility without limiting end-user choice by delivering solutions that are secure, manageable, scalable and open to all mobile operating systems,” says the press release.
