Digg is surely one of the top web technologies nowadays since it records impressive amounts of traffic every day. In case you never heard of it although I think it's impossible unless you were born yesterday, Digg is a news website based entirely on the content submitted by the registered members who post articles found all around the Internet. This is not only useful for Digg but also for the original author of the news because he receives traffic and visitors on a certain article. Well, Digg grew up a lot and is now looking to become even more powerful as its developers announced their plans to implement some new projects into the solution.

In an email sent to the registered users, Digg informed them that several news goodies will be soon available such as Profiles, an update on the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy as well as some other utilities.

According to the email messages, Digg is now able to inform you every time a certain event concerning your account occurs. "Digg will notify you via email when certain activities happen, such as when someone adds you as a friend or a story you submit becomes popular. You can control what emails you want to receive in the Email Settings section of your Digg User Profile."

The profiles are quite useful if you intend to make new friends and share interesting stories posted on Digg. Let's suppose you want to read the articles which were selected by a certain user who also seems to be tech savvy just like you. Just go over to his profile and find all his stories. Don't know how to find him? Type in his email address and press search.

"You can easily find your friends' Profiles on Digg by searching for them by their email address. If you don't want to enable others to search for your Digg Profile by your email address, or if you want to manage what personal information to display in your Digg Profile, you can reflect this in your Privacy Settings," the email reads.
