Dell has quietly rolled out a new powerful and efficient laptop, called the Precision M2800 Mobile Workstation that comes with a surprisingly decent price-tag.

Like you’d expect, Dell is targeting professionals in the graphics, engineering, scientific or video production industry with this new laptop. That’s evident due to the fact the new Precision mobile working station bundles ISV-certified applications, supported by the giants of the industry like Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit, Solidworks and PTC Creo.

So now, creative professionals who rely heavily on Adobe’s Creative Suite programs can grab a workstation without going all out in terms of cash.

The only caveat is that the 15-inch screen only offers 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution. That’s probably why the base model is priced so affordably. However, customers get the option of upgrading to 1080p.

Furthermore, the lappy draws power from a 4th generation Intel Core i5 (or i7) processor combined with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The Dell Precision laptop is also fitted with AMD FirePro W4170M (2GB GDDR5 memory).

Like with every Dell notebooks, the device is equipped with the Dell Precision Performance Optimizer. That means the system settings are capable of tweaking the machine’s performance in concordance with the kind of applications being used.

The M2800 laptop ships out in spring 2014 for $1,199 / €864.
