Many sorts of PCs have been coming out recently, and Dell has just issued a press release to announce the impending availability of the Inspiron One 23, its new all-in-one desktop which combined AMD processing and graphics with a 23-inch WLED screen.

All-in-one systems may be known for being more expensive than desktops of comparable performance, but they still sell well because of the space convenience.

Eager to offer some variety on this market, where Intel-powered systems are running rampant, Dell has unveiled the Inspiron One 23.

This machine has a configuration centered around an Athlon II X4 quad-core central processing unit from Advanced Micro Devices.

This CPU is backed up by up to 8 GB of RAM and is paired with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 video controller, with advanced multimedia capabilities and even DirectX 11.

Said video board has full reign over the 23-inch WLED-backlit displays whose native resolution is of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

The list of specifications also includes a DVD or Blu-ray drive, plus an 8-in-1 card reader and, of course, WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and built-in speakers.

Finally, for streaming to other display devices, the computer is outfitted with a D-Sub and even a HDMI output.

"The PC is at the hub of the family experience, and the new Inspiron One [...] demonstrate(s) how we are rapidly redefining the role of the desktop in the home," said Michael Tatelman, Dell vice president and general manager, Dell consumer sales and marketing.

"The innovative all-in-one [...] fit(s) anywhere in the home and deliver(s) the unrivaled entertainment that families and students have told us they want," he added.

Set to start shipping this weekend, the Dell Inspiron One 23 will have a starting price of $799. Additional configurations are expected to show up on the official website as time goes on.
