While many "do it yourself" computer users choose the cheapest PC case they can find or they go for the most aesthetically pleasing design, they are basing their actions on simply wrong premises, as most of all a computer case must house, protect and cool the hardware inside. There are a great number of computer cases manufacturers, from the unknown Chinese little factory to bug names such as Asus, Cooler Master and others. Cooler Master is not very well known as a computer case designer and producer but some of its products are interesting to say the least.

The company just announced the release of its latest model of computer case, named CM 690 PC Chassis, and which features - according to the Cooler Master company's press release - an "unique mesh design", "sleek styling" and "superb thermal performance". Coming out in a middle tower format, this computer case is providing enough internal space for all kinds of hardware and even exotic cooling solutions. By allowing users to install up to seven 120mm fans this case is very well suited for today's high power systems and extreme overclocking. As an additional feature, a smaller 80x15mm fan can be installed in the CPU area in order to keep it well cooled. Unlike most standard computer cases, the CM 690 places the power supply unit at the bottom of the case, freeing the entire upper part of the case for the hardware parts and several ventilation holes as well as holes for mounting a water cooling kit perfect for overclocked systems.

Even if it's only a middle tower computer case, the CM 690 offers a lot of room for hardware mounting and SLI configurations. Because the screw less design of its hard disk drive racks with anti-vibration pads and shock migration bars, the noise level is kept at an absolute minimum. In order to make it simple for users to manage their hardware parts the CM 690 comes with a tool-free design and a smart cable positioning feature. According to the company's press release "its unique Cooler Master mesh design not only gives it its modern good looks, but also facilitates excellent thermal performance".
