Stuff like new handheld skins or new controllers for consoles such as Sony's PS2, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii always make good news. Unfortunately, as good as the news about the Wii's additional controllers are, the controllers themselves proved to be not so user-friendly. Not even the console's original classic controller, that needs the Wii Rremote strapped underneath it to work wirelessly. As such, Thrustmaster has decided to put an end to Wii gamers' misery once and for all and revealed the T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii.

Everyone can agree that the only games working well with the Wii Remote are those found on the Wii Sports disc, WarioWare: Smooth Moves and a couple more. But what do you do when there are tons of cheap arcade classics hanging around the Virtual Console, waiting to be downloaded and played? Although some of them have been optimized for Wiimote play, they're still going to play better using a classic controller. And since no one took care of the issue, Thrustmasters felt obliged to answer the fans' cries.

"Thrustmaster is now on the scene to offer an alternative. In breaking news today, Thrustmaster has announced the T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii, a fully wireless Classic Controller alternative," reads a piece up on ign.com. "It will communicate with the Wii via a 2.4-GHz wireless dongle that plugs into the Wii's GameCube controller ports to provide 30-feet of wireless range."

The piece also confirms that Thrustmaster has added two extra buttons "for a bit of spice": a Slow button and a Turbo button. Of course, being proud of what they've achieved with what you see pictured to the top left side of the article (click to enlarge), the peripheral making company has set the new controller's price at $19.99. Nintendo's semi-wired Classic Controller retails for the same price so take our word for it even if we haven't given the new controller a go - it's worth it!

The new T-Wireless NW gamepad for Wii will be available in October.
